At Eagle Hill, we have a dedicated surgical suite equipped with modern medical equipment needed to perform our procedures safely and effectively. This includes a patient warming unit used to prevent the onset of hypothermia, vital sign monitoring equipment to ensure patient safety, IV fluid pumps to ensure hydration and a surgical laser for use in soft-tissue surgeries.

Most of our surgical procedures require some postoperative pain management. Generally, our patients will receive pain-relief medications before, during, and after surgery. Many dogs and cats will instinctively hide their pain as a survival mechanism, which, in the past, led well-meaning experts to presume that companion animals don’t feel pain the same way humans do. We now know that our furry friends have a nervous system very similar to humans, and we know better how to recognize and manage their pain.

We offer a range of surgical services from elective to specialized and we will refer you to appropriate specialists as required to best serve the health of our patients.
